Brief About Dr. Shankar R Kurpad
Dr. Shankar R Kurpad is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery. With over 12 years of practice, he has established himself as a leading expert in the field. Dr. Kurpad’s expertise lies in hip and knee joint reconstruction, as well as deformity correction.
He has been recognized for his exceptional skills and knowledge, winning the Second Prize at the Medical Students’ National Level Essay Contest organized by the Indian Medical Association. Dr. Kurpad has also been invited to deliver guest lectures at various national and international conferences.
He obtained his MBBS degree from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and further pursued a Diploma from The Dr. MGR Medical University in 2000, followed by a DNB in 2004. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kurpad actively collaborates with NGOs to organize free medical camps for those in need in Karnataka. His special interests include hip replacement and reconstruction, complex fractures, and deformity correction.
