Dr. Sharan Shivraj Patil is a distinguished Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 29 years of experience. He earned his MBBS with honors from MR Medical College, Gulbarga, and pursued his post-graduate studies at Kasturba Medical College Manipal.
Dr. Sharan Shivraj Patil holds a D‘Othro degree since 1990, followed by an MS (Ortho) in 1991 with a Gold medal. He gained valuable experience working in renowned teaching institutions in northwest England, including Alder Hey’s Children’s Hospital, where he received extensive training in complex orthopedic procedures for children. Dr. Sharan achieved an M.ch Ortho degree from Liverpool University, becoming the youngest graduate to receive this prestigious honor since the program’s inception in 1926.
He has successfully performed over 5000 major surgical procedures, particularly in Paediatric Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, and Complex Trauma. As a dedicated educator, he has trained numerous orthopedic surgeons, medical graduates, postgraduates, and nurses, and actively participates in annual academic programs. Dr. Sharan has authored several publications and articles, both nationally and internationally.
His special interests include Arthrotomy, Arthroscopic surgery, Fracture reduction, Arthroplasty, Carpal Tunnel Release, Wrist Joint Replacement, Spinal corrections, Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement, and Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction.
