Dr. Ajay Sharma is an experienced ophthalmologist based in Gurgaon, India. With over 28 years of practice, he has established himself as a renowned glaucoma surgeon, oculoplasty specialist, and squint specialist consultant. Dr. Sharma is affiliated with Apollo Spectra Sheetla Hospital & Eye Institute Pvt. Ltd. in Gurgaon.
Dr. Sharma’s career is marked by numerous achievements. He has successfully performed over 40,000 surgeries and has been a pioneer in various groundbreaking procedures. Notably, he was the first refractive surgeon in North India to introduce ARTISANS PHAKIC IOL’s and one of the first three to initiate Accommodative Intra Ocular Lens Crystalens and TORIC IOL’s and TORIC multifocal lenses in India. In 2007, he introduced Micro Incision Cataract Surgery with the Implantation of Micro Incision Lens using the Stellaris Phaco System from Bausch and Lomb. Additionally, Dr. Sharma introduced Lasik in Haryana in 2000 and has conducted more than 17 live surgeries at conferences and CME’s across India.
