Brief About Dr Ajit Pai
Dr. Ajit Pai is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon with over 17 years of practice at Apollo Cancer Hospital in Chennai, India. He specializes in sphincter-preservation for low rectal cancer and radical oesophageal cancer surgical treatment using robotic techniques. Dr. Pai has extensive expertise in managing advanced ovarian, gastric, and colorectal cancers, utilizing cytoreductive surgery, heated intraoperative chemotherapy (HIPEC), and Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC).
He holds a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Gastrointestinal, Colon and Rectal Surgery from the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA. Certified as a General Surgeon by the Medical Council of India and NBE, he is a member of prestigious organizations such as the Association of Surgeons of India, International Hepato Pancreatico Biliary Association (IHPBA), and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.
