Dr. Amit Chandra is a highly regarded Interventional Cardiologist with over 25 years of experience. He currently serves as the Principal Consultant at Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon, India. Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Chandra has independently performed 2000 Cardiac Surgical Procedures, showcasing his expertise in various areas such as Heart Valve Repair Surgery (including Mitral Valve and Aortic Valve), Bypass Surgery, Stent Implantation, Coronary Bypass Surgery, and Cardiac Ablation Procedures.
Dr. Chandra completed his MBBS from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow in 1987, followed by an MS in General Surgery from the same college in 1990. He further pursued an MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow in 1992.
His special interests lie in Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary Angioplasty/Bypass Surgery, Patent Ductus Arteriosus Device Closure, Coronary Angiogram, Pacemaker Implantation, Intra-Arterial Thrombolysis, Cardiac Ablation, Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting, as well as Heart Transplant.
