Dr. Anil Bhatia is an experienced Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 28 years of expertise. He holds a senior consultant position at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Center in Pune, India.
Dr. Anil Bhatia is a respected member of prestigious organizations including the Maharashtra Medical Council, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand, Club Narakas Europe, and serves as the President of the Brachial Plexus Surgery Group of India. He obtained his MBBS degree from LTM Medical College, Sion, Mumbai in 1985, and later completed his post-graduate qualification in Orthopaedics from the same college in 1990. With a vast experience of operating on more than 950 cases of Post-Traumatic and Obstetrical Brachial Plexus Palsies from across India, Dr. Bhatia offers valuable insights into the clinical patterns of brachial plexus injuries, surgical techniques, indications for surgery, and the quality of function restored in such cases. Notably, he is the only Indian member of the esteemed “Club Narakas,” an international club of Brachial Plexus surgeons.
Additionally, Dr. Bhatia serves as the Organizing Secretary of the 2nd Biennial Meeting of the Brachial Plexus Surgery Group of India, held at Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai. His expertise extends to various fields, including Joint Replacement (primary and revision), Arthroscopy & Sports Injuries, Trauma, Pediatric Orthopedics, and Musculoskeletal imaging aided minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Bhatia has also contributed to national and international research articles and publications. His special interests lie in Bone Tumor Treatment, Viral Fever Treatment, Dengue Fever Treatment, Immunisation/Vaccination, and Treatment for Bone Fractures.
