Brief About Dr. Anirban Deep Banerjee
Dr. Anirban Deep Banerjee is a distinguished Neurosurgeon based in Gurgaon, India, serving as the Associate Director at Medanta – The Medicity. With a wealth of experience spanning over 22 years, he specializes in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, as well as Skull-base Neurosurgery.
Dr. Banerjee’s expertise lies in performing Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgical procedures for various conditions such as spastic disorders, psychiatric disorders, and epilepsy. He is renowned for establishing Eastern India’s first advanced Movement Disorder Clinic and has conducted over 400 neuro-modulation surgeries, including more than 200 Deep Brain Stimulation surgeries. Additionally, he has a strong background in micro-neurosurgical and neuro-endoscopic management. Dr. Banerjee has been instrumental in initiating the deep brain stimulation surgery program at the National Institute of Neurosciences in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and has been a featured speaker at national and international conferences. He completed his MBBS from NRS Medical College, University of Calcutta, in 2002, followed by M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) from NIMHANS in 2008, and a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Skull-Base Neurosurgery from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, USA, in 2010.
