Brief About Dr. Ankur Phatarpekar
Dr. Ankur Phatarpekar is an Interventional Cardiologist based in Mumbai, India. With over 14 years of experience in the field, he is highly regarded in his profession. Dr. Phatarpekar is a member of prestigious organizations including the American College of Cardiology, Cardiology Society of India, and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI). He obtained his MBBS degree from Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College and Hospital in Navi Mumbai, followed by MD and DM Cardiology from Seth G. S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
As a primary operator, Dr. Phatarpekar has successfully performed more than 300 PCI procedures, including 50 primary angioplasties in myocardial infarction (PAMI). He has extensive expertise in various diagnostic procedures such as 2D echocardiography, pediatric and fetal echocardiography, and dobutamine stress echocardiography. He is well-versed in newer imaging modalities like strain echo and 3D echocardiography.
Dr. Phatarpekar has actively participated in numerous interventional trials and has an impressive portfolio of over 30 international publications.
