Dr. Athira Ramakrishnan is a distinguished ENT surgeon based in Bangalore, India, with over a decade of experience. She specializes in a wide range of procedures including head & neck cancer surgery, microsurgery of the larynx, thyroid surgery, tracheostomy, salivary gland surgery, cochlear implants, and otoplasty.
Dr. Ramakrishnan completed her MBBS from JIPMER Puducherry in 2006, followed by an MS – ENT from PGIMER Chandigarh in 2009 where she received the Silver Medal for Outstanding Academic Performance. She also obtained a DNB – ENT from St. John’s Medical College Hospital in 2010. Dr. Athira is proficient in Trans-oral Robotic Surgery and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Correction. She has previously worked at esteemed institutions such as St. John’s Medical College, Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Center, and Rangadore Memorial Hospital. Currently, she is an active member of the Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology, and the All India Rhinology Society.
Dr. Ramakrishnan’s special interests include head and neck pain, ear pain, allergy treatment, pediatric otolaryngology, and various other ENT procedures.
