Dr. Badrul is an experienced Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With over 20 years of expertise, he specializes in Arthoscopy and Sports Medicine, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand and Wrist Surgery, Hip Surgery, Knee Surgery, and Shoulder Surgery. Dr. Badrul is a Visiting Consultant at Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre. He has been recognized for his contributions in the field and was awarded the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT).
Dr. Badrul’s focus is on treating sports trauma conditions that affect the inner structure of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle joints. He is a member of various prestigious medical associations, including the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, the Malaysian Arthroscopy Society, the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the Academy of American Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Asian Pacific Orthopaedic Association, and the president of the Malaysian Society for Hip & Knee Surgeons.
He obtained his MD (1991) and MS (1998) from the National University of Malaysia. Dr. Badrul also holds a Fellowship (1999) in Advance Trauma (FAOI) from London, UK, and a Fellowship (2002) in Arthroplasty & Arthroscopy from Melbourne, Australia. He is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
