Brief About Dr. Bijal Shrivastava
Dr. Bijal Shrivastava is a highly experienced paediatrician with 12 years of practice. She is currently working as a full-time consultant at Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai, India. Dr. Shrivastava began her career as a lecturer at B.J. Wadia Children’s Hospital in Mumbai and later gained valuable experience as an observer in the intensive care unit at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York. During her postgraduate training, she excelled in pathology and medicine, earning a distinction.
In 1999, she was awarded the prestigious Dr. Palekar prize for being the top student among GS and KEM hospital students. At Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital, Dr. Shrivastava is responsible for providing care to both outpatient and inpatient paediatric patients. She also oversees a vibrant 9-bedded NICU and, in collaboration with the pediatric physiotherapy department, has established a specialty clinic called ‘HOPE CLINIC’. This clinic aims to identify and address any neurological issues in babies who have had a challenging NICU journey, with the goal of preventing long-term disabilities in these infants. Dr. Shrivastava’s special interest lies in neurological problems of babies.
