Brief About Dr. Cheah Soon Keat

Dr. Cheah Soon Keat is a highly experienced medical oncologist based in Penang, Malaysia. With over 17 years of expertise, he specializes in managing adult solid tumors through the use of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Dr. Cheah obtained his MD degree from Unimas in 2003 and later completed his Master of Clinical Oncology from UM in 2012.

He has a diverse background, having worked as an intern in various disciplines including General Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sarawak General Hospital. Following this, he spent 2 years in the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department before joining Hospital Seberang Jaya in General Surgery. Dr. Cheah is recognized as a specialist by the Ministry of Health and is registered under the National Specialist Register. He has actively participated in numerous clinical research activities and has served as an independent expert on the Malaysian Research and Ethics Committee.

Additionally, he has presented his findings at several local and national meetings. Dr. Cheah is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, Hokkien, and Cantonese. His special interests lie in the fields of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
