About Dr. Eiman Alkhatib
Dr. Eiman Alkhatib is a highly experienced Haematology specialist with a focus on both benign and malignant blood disorders. She earned her MB degree from Damascus University and specialized in Internal Medicine and Haematology through certifications from the Ministry of Health in Damascus. Dr. Alkhatib has significant experience working at the Thalassemia and Hemoglobinopathy Centre in Damascus, as well as at Damascus Hospital.
She previously served as the chief of Haematology Interns Exams for the Syrian Board Association and is an active member of the Syrian Association of Oncology and Haematology, along with the Syrian Medical Association. Her expertise includes managing blood transfusions, performing bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, and treating conditions like sickle cell anaemia and thalassemia, including their complications. Dr. Alkhatib also specializes in administering treatments such as chemotherapy, plasmapheresis, and iron infusions.
