Dr. Ganesh Nallur Shivu is a highly regarded Interventional Cardiologist based in Bangalore, India. With over 23 years of experience in the field, he has established himself as a Senior Consultant at Kauvery Hospitals in Electronic City, Bangalore.
Dr. Shivu’s expertise lies in a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures. He has successfully performed over 5,000 diagnostic angiograms and more than 2,000 coronary angioplasties, utilizing the radial artery as the primary access route for surgeries. Additionally, he has conducted over 150 pacemaker and ICD insertions.
His extensive experience extends to various adjunctive coronary interventional techniques, including rotational atherectomy, pressure wire evaluation, LASER, IVUS, optical coherence tomography, and distal protection device use. He is also proficient in peripheral interventions such as femoral, iliac, below-knee angioplasty, and fistuloplasties.

He completed his medical education at Bangalore Medical College in 2000 and pursued MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPS) in Glasgow in 2004. Subsequently, he underwent cardiology training in the All Wales Cardiology Training Program and obtained a CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in cardiology.
Dr. Shivu holds several Fellowships from prestigious institutions such as the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, UK, and Morriston Hospital in Swansea, UK. He also earned his Ph.D. in Diabetic Cardiomyopathy from the University of Birmingham.
His contributions to the field of cardiology are evident through his extensive publication record, with 23 scientific papers published in renowned peer-reviewed journals like Circulation and JACC.
