Dr. Gaurav Goel is a highly regarded Neurologist with over 15 years of experience. He is an Associate Director at Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon, India.
Dr. Goel specializes in the treatment of vascular disorders of the Brain and Spine, including Coiling of Aneurysms, Embolization of the AVM, and Stenting for intra-cranial and extra-cranial atherosclerotic disease and Tumour Embolization. He is also skilled in using Flow Diverter Stents for intra-cranial aneurysms. Additionally, Dr. Goel is proficient in treating Acute Stroke using Mechanical and Chemical Thrombolytic Agents. He is experienced in performing various Spine procedures such as Nerve Blocks, Facet blocks, Epidural Blocks, and Vertebroplasty to alleviate Spine pain. During his training in Montreal, he successfully managed 2000 cases of Spine pain.
Dr. Goel is one of the country’s leading Neuro-Radiologists, specializing in Neuro-Imaging techniques such as Diffusion, MR/CT perfusion, MR/CT Angiography, and Spectroscopy. He has been recognized for his contributions to the field, receiving the Best Paper Award at the IRIA Annual Meeting in 2008 and the Best Paper Award at the ISNR Annual Meeting in 2007.
Dr. Goel has actively participated in numerous workshops and conferences, where he has presented his research papers. His special interests include Cerebrovascular Surgery, Uterine Artery Embolization, Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Spine Pain Intervention, Vascular Interventions, and Acute Stroke using Mechanical and Chemical Thrombolytic agents.
