Brief About Dr. Geetha Nagasree
Dr. Geetha Nagasree is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist based in Hyderabad, India. With over 20 years of experience, she is recognized as the first female Surgical Oncologist in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Dr. Nagasree specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, including minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgeries, breast cancer surgery (lumpectomy & mastectomy), and breast conservation surgeries. She is also extensively trained in advanced and recurrent ovarian cancers, performing surgeries such as cytoreductive surgery, extensive peritonectomy, and HIPEC. In recognition of her expertise, Dr. Nagasree was awarded the “Rising Star of the Year 2017 in Oncology.” She holds an executive position in the National Executive Body of the Association of Gynecological Oncologists of India (AGOI).
Dr. Nagasree has received numerous international fellowships and awards, including the Shingo Fuji Young Scientist Award, International Gynecological Cancer Society (IGCS) traveling fellowship, and the IGCS travel grant award. She has also served as a coach in IARC, Lyon, France, and MNJIO & RCC, Hyderabad.
Dr. Nagasree completed her medical education, including MBBS from Guntur Medical College, Guntur, MD (OBG) from JIPMER, Pondicherry, and MCh (Surgical Oncology) from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru. She has held positions as an Assistant Professor at MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre and as a consultant at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Hyderabad.
Dr. Nagasree has been a faculty member at major national conferences and CME workshops, showcasing her expertise in breast and gynecological oncology, as well as minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgeries.
