Brief About Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan
Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan is a highly experienced Vascular Surgeon with over 21 years of expertise in performing vascular surgeries. He is a respected member of the Indian Medical Association. Dr. Amalorpavanathan completed his MBBS degree in 1982 from Madras University, Chennai, followed by MS in 1988 and M.Ch from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 2000.
He also holds a diploma from NBE. With extensive experience in the field of vascular surgery, he specializes in treating conditions such as abdominal aneurysm, aortoiliac disease, deep vein thrombosis, thoracic aortic aneurysm, varicose veins, IVC filter placement, sclerotherapy, and lymphedema. Previously, he served as a Professor and Head at the Institute of Vascular Surgery, Madras Medical College, and worked as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Govt. General Hospital, Chennai. Dr. Amalorpavanathan played a crucial role in establishing and expanding the successful cadaver organ transplantation program in Tamil Nadu. He has also been honored with several awards for his contributions.
Notably, he provided valuable insights and recommendations to the Government of Mauritius for the establishment of a transplant program in the country.
