Brief About Dr. K. P. Suresh Kumar
Dr. K. P. Suresh Kumar, an Interventional Cardiologist based in Chennai, India, is a highly experienced Senior Consultant with over 36 years of practice. He has an impressive track record of performing 17,000 coronary angiograms, 200 balloon mitral valvuloplasties, 300 permanent pacemakers, and 50 renal angioplasties. Dr. Kumar’s expertise lies in radial artery interventions, coronary artery disease, cardiac failures, and hypertension. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Times Professional Achievements Award in 2019, the Best Doctor Award by the Indian Medical Association in 2018, and the Best Paper Award at the National Conference of the Cardiology Society of India in 1992. Dr. Kumar is a recipient of a Gold Medal in Pathology in 1982 and a National Merit Scholarship in Higher Secondary Education. He is a member of the Cardiology Society of India, the Indian Medical Association, and the Indian Society of Hypertension. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Interventional Cardiology, and the European Society of Interventional Cardiology.
