Brief About Dr. Kasim Kazbay
Dr. Kasim Kazbay is a highly experienced gastroenterologist with over 20 years of expertise in the field. He is currently serving as the Head of the Department at the renowned American Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Kazbay has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to medical research and practice. In 1986, he was honored with the prestigious TUBITAK Medical Investigation Award, followed by the Sedat Simavi Medicine Award in 1995. He has also conducted extensive research with the support of the TUBITAK NATO Overseas Doctorate Scholarship.
Dr. Kazbay is an esteemed member of the American Gastroenterological Association and holds the Gastroenterology Certificate of the American Internal Medicine Committee. His clinical interests encompass a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including stomach diseases, diseases of the esophagus and intestines, diseases of the liver and pancreas, as well as endoscopy and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
Dr. Kazbay’s educational background is equally impressive. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ege University, Bornova in 1986, followed by a post-graduate degree in immunology from McGill University, Canada in 1989. He obtained his doctorate in immunology from Mount Sinai, Turkey in 1993, and subsequently completed his residency in internal medicine at New York University, New York in 1996. In 1999, he pursued a fellowship in Gastroenterology at South Carolina Medical University, Charleston.
