Brief About Dr. Kishore Phadke
Dr. Kishore Digambar Phadke is a distinguished paediatric nephrologist with 44 years of experience based in Bangalore, India. He is renowned for his international collaborations in the field of paediatric nephrology.
Dr. Phadke is highly skilled in developing training programs and teaching methodologies for paediatric nephrology. He has successfully conducted a one-year fellowship program in paediatric nephrology for pediatricians over the past fifteen years, which is recognized by Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences, State of Karnataka, and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association. Many of his trainees have established paediatric nephrology centers in various countries.
Dr. Phadke obtained his MBBS from the University of Bombay in 1977 and his MD from the same university in 1979. In 2013, he enrolled in the first MCI-approved DM (Pediatric Nephrology) course in the country. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the Indian Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Phadke is an integral member of the strategic planning committee of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association. In Karnataka, he actively supports the Deceased Donor Transplant Program, a noble initiative to save the lives of individuals suffering from kidney failure. Dr. Phadke is the founder and former chairman of the non-profit organization Foundation for Organ Retrieval and Transplant Education (FORTE). Additionally, he has served as the secretary and vice-chairman of Zonal, a coordinating group for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Karnataka government.

His special interests include infant and child nutrition, childhood infections, newborn care, vaccination/immunization, development assessment, viral fever treatment, nutritional assessment, diet for kids, and infectious disease treatment.
