Brief About Dr. Lekha Adik Pathak
Dr. Lekha Adik Pathak is an esteemed interventional cardiologist based in Mumbai, India, with over 40 years of experience in the field. She has made significant contributions to the medical community and has been recognized for her achievements. Dr. Pathak specializes in various areas, including Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting, Coronary and Non-Coronary Interventions, Angioplasty and Stenting, Interventional procedures, and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. Her dedication and expertise have earned her prestigious awards, such as the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by former President APJ Abdul Kalam in 2008, the Master Teacher Award by the Indian Medical Association in 2010, and the Dr. SC Seth Oration by the Indian Medical Association in the same year.
Dr. Pathak has also achieved several notable milestones, including being the first female interventional cardiologist in India, the first female Executive Chairperson of the World Congress on Interventional Cardiology, the first female Dean of the Indian College of Physicians, and the second female interventional cardiologist in the world.
She has actively participated in various academic activities and has been involved in the inauguration of numerous events organized by the city and state chapters of the Association of Physicians of India (API) throughout the country.
