Dr. M. Maran is a highly skilled bariatric surgeon and gastroenterologist based in Chennai, India. With over 14 years of experience, he specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgeries in the gastrointestinal tracts and bariatric surgery. Dr. Maran is known for being the pioneer in introducing advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery procedures in Chennai.
He is a member of the IMA and the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES). Dr. Maran obtained his MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College, Tamil Nadu, MS in general surgery from Madras Medical College, Madras, a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy from Zurich University, Switzerland, and a fellowship in bariatric surgery from Minnesota University, United States.
