Brief About Dr. Mete Aksu
Dr. Mete Aksu, a renowned Cosmetic Surgeon based in Istanbul, Turkey, brings over 14 years of experience in the field of Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery. Graduating from Atatürk High School as a 57th term graduate, Dr. Aksu pursued his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, earning the prestigious title of a medical doctor. He then served as a Lieutenant and Senior Lieutenant on the Aksu TCG Anıttepe and TCG Turgut Reis frigate ships before continuing his career at Ankara Gata Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic.
During his specialization, Dr. Aksu conducted groundbreaking research on the impact of keratinocyte culture modified for VEGF, EGF, and FGF genes on Chronic Wound Healing in rats, in collaboration with Bilkent University Genetics and Molecular Biology department. This research further solidified his expertise in the field. After an illustrious career, Dr. Aksu retired from Kasımpaşa Naval Hospital with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Currently, Dr. Aksu operates his own clinic located in Nişantaşı Abdi İpekçi Caddesi, where he continues to provide exceptional care and expertise to his patients. His areas of special interest include Rhinoplasty, Facial rejuvenation, Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty), Ear surgery (Otoplasty), Chin surgery, Nose surgery (Rhinoplasty), and Face and neck surgery (Rhytidectomy).
