Brief About Dr. Neelam Mohan
Dr. Neelam Mohan is a highly experienced pediatric Gastroenterologist and hepatologist with over 21 years of expertise. She is currently serving as the Director at Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon, India. Dr. Mohan has received numerous prestigious awards throughout her career, including the DMA Centenary Award, Swastha Bharat Samman Award, Vishisht Chikitsa Ratan Award, Mahila Sree Award and Gold Medal, Super Achievers of India Award, Doctor of the Year Award, Dr. Sadhana International Empowerment of Women Award, Dr. M.C. Joshi Memorial Oration, Eminent Doctor of the Year, Distinguished Service Award, and Bharat Gaurav Award. She has also been honored with the BC Roy Award and has been recognized with FACG by the American College of Gastroenterology and FIAP Award by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Mohan is renowned for her pioneering work in therapeutic endoscopy for infants, making her the first doctor in India to introduce this technique. She has contributed significantly to the medical field through her extensive publications, including over 180 research papers and more than 50 chapters in books. Dr. Mohan holds executive positions in various esteemed organizations such as the Asian Pan-Pacific Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (AASPGHAN), the Education Committee of the International Pediatric Transplant Association (IPTA), and the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenteritis, and Oncologists (IASGO). Her areas of expertise include pediatric liver disease, endoscopy, and gastrointestinal/abdominal diseases.
Dr. Mohan has a special interest in Gastroenterology, Pediatric and Adolescent Hepatology, Hepatitis B & C, Liver Transplantation, Pancreatitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Treatment, Bladder Cancer Surgery, Hemorrhoids Treatment, and Gastritis Treatment.
