Brief About Dr. Neha Shah
Dr. Neha Shah is an Obesity and Bariatric Surgeon based in Chennai, India. With over 20 years of experience, she is a Consultant at Apollo Spectra Hospital. Dr. Shah specializes in Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery and has successfully completed over 5000 advanced laparoscopic GI and bariatric procedures. Her previous roles include Head of the department in minimally invasive surgery gastroenterology and bariatric surgery at Prashant Superspeciality Hospital, Laparoscopic surgeon at Lifeline Hospital, and working at Govt. Peripheral Hospital, Annanagar, Chennai.
She also runs a training institute for Minimally Invasive Surgeries called MISTI, which has trained 270 Surgeons. Dr. Shah has been recognized with prestigious awards such as Best paper award at ASI Conference 2010, GEM Award at Madurai ASI 2010, Travelling Fellowship Award from ASI State Chapter in 2012, and Sundaram Award for best paper at the State Conference in Pondicherry 2012.
She has attended various renowned conferences including Foregut Workshop – 2010 and Stapler Workshop – 2010. Dr. Shah’s special interests lie in Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery.
