Brief About Dr. Omer Faruk Unal
Dr. Omer Faruk Unal is a highly experienced Otorhinolaryngologist with over 30 years of practice. He specializes in children’s otolaryngology and head and neck cancer surgery. Dr. Unal has an impressive publication record, with more than 100 articles, 47 of which have been published in international refereed journals. He is an active member of various professional societies, including the Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology, European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, European Society of Rhinology, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Unal has also served as the President of the Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Association. He completed his medical education at Hacettepe University in Ankara, graduating in 1991, and pursued post-graduation studies at the same institution in 1996. Dr. Unal is currently based at the American Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, where he holds the position of Head of Department.
