Brief About Dr. Prakash K
Dr. Prakash K is one of Kerala’s most sought-after Surgical Gastroenterology. He has over 17 years of experience and has studied at some of the best schools in Europe and India. Dr. Prakash earned his MBBS at the University of Calicut and his MS (Surgery) at the Medical College of Baroda. Also, he then went on to Medical College Trivandrum to pursue his MCh (Surgical Gastroenterology). In the meantime, at the University of Pierre et Curie in Paris, he completed his AFSA (Attestation de Formation Specialisee Approfondie). Also, he had received specialised training in areas including as-
- Ethicon Training Centre, Chennai, held a workshop on hands-on training and an animal lab in Micro Vascular Surgery.
- Kyungpook National University in Taegy, South Korea, offers a certificate degree in laparoscopic Colorectal surgery training.
Moreover, he has successfully completed over 16000 open GI surgeries and 5000 GI laparoscopic surgeries. In the state, his team has performed the most colonic and rectal resections for benign lesions and malignancy. Additionally, he is also the first surgeon in Kerala to conduct laparoscopic cholecystectomy and colorectal resection with a single incision. On the other hand, his Clinical Interests lies in Complex hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and advanced laparoscopic operations.
