Brief About Dr. R. Balasubramaniyam
Dr. R. Balasubramaniyam is a highly experienced Nephrologist with over 24 years of expertise in various areas such as Renal Transplantation, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis, Hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies, and Diabetic Kidney Disease. He has successfully performed more than 500 renal transplants, including both living and cadaver transplants. In recognition of his exceptional skills, he was awarded the Best Doctor Award by the TN Govt in 2013.
Dr. Bala obtained his MBBS degree from Madras University, Chennai, India in 1991, followed by a DNB in General Medicine from the Railway Hospital, Perambur in 1994. He further pursued a DNB in Nephrology from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai in 1997.
Dr. Balasubramaniyam is an active member of prestigious organizations such as the Indian Society Of Nephrology, the Indian Society of Peritoneal Dialysis, the International Society of Nephrology, and the International Society Of Peritoneal Dialysis. He has contributed significantly to the field of nephrology with over 75 research papers published in reputed national and international journals. His special interests include Hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies, Diabetic Kidney Disease, and Critical Care Nephrology.
