Dr. Rakesh Khera is a highly experienced urologist and andrologist based in Gurgaon, India. With over 26 years of practice, he has established himself as a leading expert in his field. Dr. Khera has an impressive track record, having successfully performed more than 1000 robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in conducting Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies, with a record-breaking experience of over 1500 procedures.
Throughout his career, Dr. Khera has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of urology. He has received prestigious awards such as the Achievers Award from the Delhi Urology Society and the Best Video Prize from the Hyderabad, Meerut, Bhubaneshwar, and Vijayawada ISOT and USICON conferences. Additionally, he has been honored with the Best Poster Prize at the ISOT conference in Mumbai and the Best Podium Paper at the NZUSICON conference in Udaipur.
Prior to his practice in India, Dr. Khera gained valuable experience at The Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, USA, which is renowned as one of the world’s top urological cancer centers. It was during his time there that he pioneered the “Belly-button” technique, a virtually scarless surgery (LESS), and Single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) at Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon.
