Dr. Rakesh Ranjan is a highly experienced Neurosurgeon based in Pune, India. With over 21 years of expertise in the field, he specializes in various areas including cerebrovascular and pediatric neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, image-guided and minimally invasive neurosurgery, among others. Throughout his career, Dr. Rakesh has successfully performed more than 5000 brain and spine surgeries.
Dr. Rakesh obtained his MBBS degree from the esteemed Medical School Armed Forces Medical College in 1998. He further pursued an MS in General Surgery from the renowned Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in 2002. In 2006, he completed an MCh from the same institute and later obtained a DNB in Neurosurgery from the National Board Of Examination in 2007.
As a dedicated professional, Dr. Rakesh is an active member of prestigious organizations such as the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (USA), the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery, and the Neurological Society of India. He has also contributed significantly to the field through his research, having published more than 20 research papers in reputed national and international journals.
Dr. Rakesh’s special interests lie in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgeries, and Carotid body tumor embolization. He currently serves as a Senior Consultant at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital in Pune.
