Dr. Ramakrishnan S is a highly experienced rheumatologist based in Chennai, India. With over 38 years of practice, he is a Senior Consultant at Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road. Dr. Ramakrishnan’s expertise lies in the field of rheumatic diseases, particularly in the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
He has been recognized for his outstanding achievements, including receiving the MBBS Gold Medal in Physics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, and the prestigious Dr. Ratnavelu Subramaniam Gold Medal for being the Best Outgoing Student of his batch.
Additionally, he has been honored with the IRA Boots Best Paper Award for his research on “Our Experience with Psoriatic Arthropathy,” which he presented at the International Conference of Rheumatology held in Goa. Dr. Ramakrishnan obtained his MBBS, MD, and DM degrees from renowned institutions such as Madras University and The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU).
He has also contributed significantly to the field of rheumatology through his role as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Indian Rheumatology Association and has published over 38 articles in various national and international journals. One of his special interests includes the study of Anti-Phospholipid Antibody (APLA).
