Brief About Dr. Ranjan Burnwal
Dr. Ranjan Burnwal is a highly skilled Orthopedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon based in Mumbai, India. With over 12 years of experience, he specializes in performing complex trauma surgeries. Dr. Burnwal is a respected member of various professional organizations including the Bombay Orthopedic Society, the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Asian Association for Dynamic Osteosynthesis (Hong Kong), and AO Trauma Foundation, India.
He completed his MBBS from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai in 2005, followed by an MS from Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad in 2009. In 2011, he pursued a fellowship in international arthroplasty in Seoul, South Korea.
Throughout his career, Dr. Burnwal has made significant contributions in treating complex trauma such as peri-articular and intra-articular fractures, fracture fixation, complex trauma surgery, spine surgery, and primary hip and knee replacement surgeries. His expertise lies in total knee replacement (TKR) and total hip replacement (THR), having performed over 300 of each procedure. Additionally, he has conducted over 200 spine surgeries and more than 1,000 trauma surgeries.
Dr. Burnwal has actively participated in numerous training programs and conferences, including the Indian Orthopedic Association Conference IOACON 2007 in Kolkata, the K.T. Dholakia Memorial CME Programme on “Management of Complex Trauma” in Kolkata, IRCON-2007 and IRCON-2008, Interdisciplinary Research Conferences held in Aurangabad, and the Late Dr. Joy Patankar Memorial Post Graduate Teaching Course held in Nair Hospital in 2009. He has also been recognized with an award for his exceptional services.
