Brief About Dr. Rupal Shah
Dr. Rupal Shah is a renowned Ophthalmologist based in Mumbai, India. With over 29 years of experience, she is highly respected in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Shah is the Director of the Centre for Sight Eye Hospital in Juhu Vile Parle.
She is a member of prestigious professional organizations such as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (American Academy of Ophthalmology). Dr. Shah completed her MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College, Bombay University in 1992, followed by an MS in ophthalmology. She further specialized in refractive surgery in Germany.
Dr. Shah is an expert in ReLeX and Blade Free LASIK laser vision correction eye surgery. As one of the pioneers of laser refractive surgery in India, she has been performing these procedures since 1994. She has also made significant contributions to the field through her work on ReLEx procedures, including FLEx (Femtosecond Lenticule Extraction) and SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction).
In addition, Dr. Shah has conducted groundbreaking research on Photo Therapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) and Presbyopia Correction using excimer laser and sceleral spacing implants.
