Dr. Sabyasachi Bal is currently the Chairman of the Institute of Thoracic Surgery, Thoracic Surgical Oncology, Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery, and Lung Transplantation at Sir Gangaram Hospital. He was a trailblazer in diagnostic and therapeutic thoracoscopy.
His areas of specialization include thoracic surgery, foregut surgery, thoracoscopic surgery, palliative surgery and foregut tumor resection, thyroid & parathyroid surgery, airway stenting & laser interventions, and so on.
