Dr. Rai holds degrees in MBBS, MD, and DNB from esteemed institutions in India. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with prestigious cancer institutes such as the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Post Graduate Sciences in Lucknow, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in Delhi. Dr. Rai has also conducted research on cancer in Africa during his time in Angola.
