Brief About Dr. Sanjiv Agrawal
Dr. Sanjiv Agrawal is an esteemed Interventional Cardiologist based in Chennai, India. With a career spanning over 25 years, he has gained extensive experience in the field. Dr. Agrawal specializes in both Elective and Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) to effectively manage single and multi-vessel CADs. He is also proficient in treating Complex Coronary Lesions, including Vein Graft Intervention and Chronic Total Occlusion.
Throughout his career, Dr. Agrawal has performed over 16,000 Angiographies and 5,300 Angioplasties. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first to perform Multivessel Angioplasty with 5 Stents on the youngest patient in Asia. He is an active member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and a Fellow of the Indian College of Cardiology.
Dr. Agrawal is deeply committed to research and has contributed to numerous publications in renowned medical journals. He completed his MBBS from Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College and Sasson General Hospital Pune in 1981. He then pursued MD in General Medicine at BJ Medical College Pune in 1985. Following this, he obtained his DM in Cardiology from Christian Medical College, Vellore, in 1990. Dr. Agrawal further honed his skills through fellowships in Interventional Cardiology in Melbourne, Australia in 1994 and at the Royal Victoria Hospital, UK in 1996.
His special interests lie in Elective and Primary Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Complex Coronary Lesions, Vein Graft Intervention, Chronic Total Occlusion, and Angioplasty. Dr. Sanjiv Agrawal is currently associated with Fortis Malar Hospital in Chennai, where he continues to provide exceptional care to his patients.
