Brief About Dr. Sarmila Chandra
Dr Sarmila Chandra is a highly experienced haematologist and haematoncologist affiliated with NH Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences and Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Shibpur in Kolkata. With a remarkable 25 years of experience in the field of haematology and haematoncology, she has served as an expert in various cities across India. Notably, Dr Chandra has worked at renowned hospitals such as Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Howrah and Shibpur.
Throughout her career, Dr Sarmila Chandra has successfully handled numerous complex medical cases, showcasing her expertise in accurate diagnosis and compassionate patient care. Her speciality interests lie in the treatment and management of Thalassemia, Leukaemia and lymphoma, Multiple myeloma, and Aplastic anemia.
Dr Chandra completed her MBBS from Medical College, Calcutta, and pursued an MD in Internal Medicine from AIIMS, New Delhi. Additionally, she obtained a Fellowship in Haematology and Haemato Oncology from ULM West Germany. She has actively participated in research work and various workshops conducted by the haematology and haematoncology department, resulting in the publication of numerous papers.
