Brief About Dr. Satya Karna
Dr. Satya Karna is an experienced and highly skilled Ophthalmologist with over 22 years of clinical and surgical experience in treating various ophthalmological conditions. He is currently practicing at Jaypee Hospital in Noida, India. Dr. Karna is a member of several professional organizations including the All India Ophthalmological Society, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, Noida Ophthalmological Society, Ludhiana Ophthalmological Society, Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Society of India, and the Indian Neuro-ophthalmological Society, where he serves as a Joint Secretary.
Dr. Karna completed his MBBS degree in 1993 from JIPMER, Puducherry. He then pursued further specialization in Ophthalmology, obtaining his DO degree in 1997 and DNB Ophthalmology in 1998, both from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He also underwent advanced training in neuro-ophthalmology at Sankara Nethralaya. Additionally, he received training in LASIK, FemtoLASIK, and SMILE at the New Vision Laser Centres in Vadodara.
As a renowned ophthalmologist, Dr. Karna is proficient in performing cataract surgery using phacoemulsification with Toric, Multifocal, and Extended Depth of Focus lenses. He is also skilled in laser cataract surgery, LASIK, FemtoLASIK, and SMILE refractive surgery. Dr. Karna offers keratoconus treatment with collagen cross-linkage, glaucoma therapy, and treatments for traumatic eye disorders and neuro-ophthalmological conditions. He was awarded the Best Clinical Talk Award for DOS Monthly Clinical Meetings in 2003-04 and served as the Organizing Secretary of the First International Update in Neuro-ophthalmology in October 2002 in Chennai.
