Dr. Shivakumar Varakanahalli is a highly experienced medical gastroenterologist based in Bangalore, India. With over 8 years of practice, he specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI and Lower GI endoscopy, ERCP, Manometry, EUS, Capsule endoscopy, IBS, Dyspepsia, reflux disease, and gastritis.
Dr. Varakanahalli completed his MBBS from Mysore Medical College, Mysore, and MD in internal medicine from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Rajasthan. He underwent specialized training in gastroenterology at the renowned GB PANT Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi.
Dr. Varakanahalli has numerous publications in esteemed national and international journals, along with presentations of his clinical and research work at conferences across the country and overseas. He has received several accolades, including First position for North Zone in TYSA 2013, Second Rank holder in the common entrance examination for DM Gastroenterology (Delhi University) in 2014, and a grant by Liver Care Foundation at New Delhi for APASL 2016 in Tokyo.
