About Dr. Sunada Subramanian
Dr. Sunada Subramanian is an Indian Board-Certified Specialist Ophthalmologist and Surgeon with over a decade of experience in the field. She completed her MBBS at JSS Medical College in Mysore in 2010 and went on to pursue her post-graduation in Ophthalmology in 2014 from K.G. Hospital and Post Graduate Medical and Research Institute in Coimbatore, India, a renowned tertiary healthcare institution.
In 2018, Dr. Sunada joined the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore, one of Asia’s largest networks of eye hospitals, where she received advanced training in managing various types of cataracts and intraocular lens implantation. She also specialized in Glaucoma and completed her national fellowship (FAICO) in this subspecialty through the All India Ophthalmological Society. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology, UK (FICO).
Dr. Sunada holds diplomas in Hospital and Healthcare Management and Medicolegal Sciences. She has several publications to her name and has co-authored chapters on glaucoma. Currently, she is further enhancing her expertise by pursuing a course in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from Stanford University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Sunada has been a mentor and surgical trainer for numerous students and fellows from around the world, particularly in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
