Brief About Dr. Sundar Sankaran
Dr. Sundar Sankaran, a renowned Nephrologist based in Bangalore, India, boasts an impressive 42 years of experience in the field. Over the course of his career, he has successfully performed more than 2500 kidney transplants. Dr. Sankaran specializes in various areas including palliative renal care, nephrectomy, peritoneal dialysis, acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, diabetes renal failure, and kidney disease treatment. He was recognized as the Best outgoing student in Physiology in 1974 and has received prestigious awards such as the Lifetime Achievement Award from Karnataka Kidney Patient Welfare Association and the Organising Committee Southern Chapter Indian Society.
Additionally, he was honored with the Rotary Club Bangalore North Vocation Services Award. Dr. Sankaran previously served as the chief Nephrologist at Columbia Asia Hospital and is a proud member of several esteemed medical associations including the Association of Physicians of India, Indian Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India, and Indian Society of Hemodialysis.
