Dr. T.S. Bala Shanmugam is a distinguished Surgical Gastroenterologist and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgeon based in Chennai, India. With a wealth of 30 years of experience, he has established himself as a leading expert in his field.
Dr. Shanmugam obtained his MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. He is also a recipient of the FMAS (Fellow of Minimal Access Surgery) from AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India). Having successfully conducted over 2500 Basic & Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries, he further honed his skills through training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at IRCAD, Strasbourg, France, and Robotic Surgery at World Laparoscopic Hospital, New Delhi.
