Brief About Dr. U Vasudeva Rao
Dr. U Vasudeva Rao is a highly experienced General Surgeon with 42 years of practice. He specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures including Carotid Angioplasty, Endosurgery, organ transplant surgery, thyroid surgery, and breast surgery, among others. Dr. Rao’s expertise has been recognized internationally, as he was awarded a prize for his paper on VAC Therapy for Diabetic Foot Infection at an International Conference in Seoul, South Korea.
He obtained his MBBS degree from the University of Mysore in 1975, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College in 1978. Additionally, he completed his FRCS in General Surgery from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom in 1982. Currently, Dr. Rao serves as a Governing Council member and Honorary Treasurer of the Association of Surgeons of India. He is also the president-elect of the Surgical Society of Bangalore.
Dr. Rao has contributed significantly to the field of surgery through his publications in various national and international journals, focusing on topics such as limb ischemia, lap ventral hernia repair, and laser treatment for varicose veins. His special interests include common general surgical operations, laparoscopic procedures, vascular procedures, trauma surgery, and the treatment of conditions such as piles and fistula.
