Brief About Dr. Umesh Jalihal
Dr. Umesh Jalihal, a Medical Gastroenterologist based in Bangalore, India, has over two decades of experience in the field. He specializes in Interventional Endoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), among other services.
Dr. Jalihal holds an MBBS degree from Karnatak Medical College – Karnataka University, Hubli, an MD in General Medicine from Mysore Medical College – Mysore University, Mysore, and a DM in Gastroenterology from TNMC and BYL Nair Hospital – Mumbai University, Mumbai. He has been recognized with awards from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in 2010 and the Dr. Malaka Reddy Award in 2003.
Dr. Jalihal has authored several international papers, including “Gastric ammonia quantification in H. pylori infections” and “Endoscopic stent implantation in esophageal cancer,” both published in 1998.
