He is an active member of both the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and the Indian Associations of Paediatrics. Dr. Veerendra S completed his MBBS from Govt Medical College, Bellary, Karnataka in 1996, where he achieved the second rank in his final MBBS and was awarded a gold medal in community medicine. He further pursued his MD from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, and DNB from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. In 2007, he obtained his DM in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from BYL Nair Ch Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Sandur also completed a fellowship in Hepatology & Multi-Organ Transplantation from Toronto General Hospital, Canada. His areas of special interest include therapeutic endoscopy- ERCP, Hepatology & liver transplantation, esophageal and anorectal manometry, as well as pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology.
