Brief About Dr. Vijay Deshmukh

Dr. Vijay Deshmukh, a distinguished General Surgeon based in Mumbai, India, boasts over four decades of experience in the field. He specializes in a wide range of procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendicectomy, endoscopic surgeries, and colectomy.

Dr. Deshmukh obtained his MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in 1979, followed by an MS in General Surgery in the same year. He also completed specialized training MCPS from the College of Surgeons and Physicians in 1976, and a DNB in General Surgery from the National Board of Examination in 1981.

Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Deshmukh excelled, securing the highest marks in his university in 1974 and receiving the Dr. Athawale Trophy for the best Student of the year 1974-75. He has held prestigious positions such as Vice President and President at CPS college. Currently, Dr. Deshmukh is actively involved with the Association of Surgeons of India, Urology Association of India, and Bombay Urological Society.
