Mr. Yoong Meow Foong is a highly experienced Neurosurgeon based in Penang, Malaysia. With an impressive 30 years of expertise, he specializes in various areas including Brain and spinal injury, Brain and spinal tumor, Degenerative spinal disorder, Movement disorders, Pediatric brain and spinal tumor, Hydrocephalus, and Congenital brain and spinal disorder. Recognized by the Malaysian Government as a Specialist in Neurosurgery in 1991, he is a distinguished Member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia, the AO Spine, and the AOCMF (CranioMaxilloFacial Surgery).
Currently serving as the President of the Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia, Mr. Yoong Meow Foong is also a member of the Specialist Subcommittee for Neurosurgery of the NSR. He has contributed significantly to the field with numerous publications, journals, and articles.
Mr. Yoong Meow Foong holds an MBBS degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia (1982), and has obtained FRCS from the UK (1989) and FRACS from Australia (1995). He has also completed General Surgery training at Michigan State University, USA (2006), and a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
