Brief About Prof. Dr. Azmi HAMZAOĞLU
Prof. Dr. Azmi HAMZAOGLU is a highly esteemed Spine Surgeon with 36 years of experience. He currently practices at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Prof. Dr. HAMZAOGLU completed his medical education at Istanbul University in 1983 and pursued his residency in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. In 1989, he traveled to the United States to obtain certification in Spine Surgery from the renowned Minnesota Spine Center. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, he furthered his studies in Spine Surgery at the University of Hokkaido in Japan in 1991. Prof. Dr. HAMZAOGLU played a pivotal role in establishing the ‘Orthopedic Clinic’ at Florence Nightingale Hospital, which became Turkey’s first center for Spine Surgery. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as an Associate Professor in 1989 and later as a Professor in 1996. Prof. Dr. HAMZAOGLU’s areas of special interest include Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Spine Surgery.
