Brief About Prof. Dr. Birol Baytan
Prof. Dr. Birol Baytan is a highly experienced Pediatric Hematologist based in Istanbul, Turkey. With over 24 years of expertise in the field, he has established himself as a Senior Consultant at Emsey Hospital in Pendik. Dr. Baytan completed his graduation from Ankara University in 1992 and pursued his Subspecialty in Medicine from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in 2003. Throughout his career, he has held positions as an Assistant Professor at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Baytan’s areas of proficiency include child Bone Marrow Transplants, Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Cancers, Leukemia (Lymphoma) Diagnosis and Treatment, Childhood Bleeding Disease Treatments, Vascular Occlusion, Anemia Treatments, Iron Deficiency, and Vitamin Deficiency Treatments, among others. He has made significant contributions to the medical field, with 15 articles published in international peer-review journals, 9 abstracts-full texts presented and published in proceedings of international scientific meetings, and 3 books or book sections written in native/foreign language. Additionally, he has published 8 articles in local peer-review journals. Dr. Baytan’s special interests lie in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Cancers, Leukemia (Lymphoma) Diagnosis and Treatment, Childhood Bleeding Disease Treatments, Childhood Vascular Occlusion Treatments, Anemia Treatments, Iron Deficiency, and Vitamin Deficiency Treatments.
