Prof. Dr. Fatih Karel, an esteemed Ophthalmologist based in Ankara, Turkey, is renowned for his extensive experience of over 31 years in the field. He holds memberships with prestigious organizations such as the Eye Bank Association, Turkish Ophthalmology Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and EUROPE Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Karel completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1981 and pursued further specialization at the Sinskey Eye Institute in the USA, graduating in 1988. His areas of expertise encompass the treatment of Cataract, Glaucoma, General Eye Examination, Cornea, Conjunctiva Burning, Swelling, Itching, Watering, Diabetes & the Eye, and Goiter & Eye, among others. He gained valuable experience during his tenure at the Sinskey Ophthalmic Center and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where he trained under the guidance of Dr. Robert M. Sinskey in Anterior Segment Surgery, Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification), and Pediatric Cataract Surgery.
